GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for leading the development, evaluation, and implementation of complex electrical designs that meet customer requirements, technical specifications, cost objectives, and project schedules. The role provides technical leadership throughout the engineering lifecycle, ensuring design integrity, system performance, and compliance with applicable electrical standards and project requirements. Key responsibilities include supporting proposal development, leading design reviews and technical problem-solving, mentoring engineering team members, managing technical risks, supporting system integration and testing, and driving continuous product improvement, innovation, and cost optimization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reviews customer requirements including customer specifications, Statements of Work, and interface drawings in order to ensure compliance with contract. Designs AC & DC electrical systems from customer specifications. Prepares wiring diagrams and lists. Creates technical proposals, technical materials, procurement specifications and electrical analyses. Direct tasks to other design staff including CAD and Electrical Engineers.
