PD Hospital Assistant III- Rehab Services Admin- Day Shift

Position Summary: Reporting to the manager of the Burn and Wound clinic, and under the supervision of a licensed Rehabilitation Therapist (PT/OT/SP) the Therapy Aide is responsible for assisting in carrying out established treatment programs for all ages of patients referred in an assigned area. Duties also include routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment, assisting with light clerical duties and any activities necessary for the smooth operation of the department as assigned by therapist/supervision. What It Takes to be Successful Required Qualifications: BLS certification upon hire Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of basic medical terminology Patient care experience working in Rehabilitation Therapy or in the acute care setting preferred Must possess the skill, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must possess knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Demonstrated experience using MS Office
