About the role

Homemaker
Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday - 20 hours per week
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated individuals to assist individuals and families with essential household tasks in a supportive and respectful environment. As a Homemaker, you will help individuals live comfortably and independently by providing a variety of services under the direction of a field supervisor. What You'll Do:
  • Assist with shopping, menu planning, and meal preparation
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, and mopping
  • Clean the kitchen, bathroom, and change beds
  • Handle laundry and dishwashing
  • Pick up prescriptions and run essential errands

Qualifications: High school diploma/GED/HiSET required Standard driver's license class C or class DCompletion of Homemaker training program = 40 hours (as recommended by the Massachusetts Council for Home Care Aide Services). On-going state required staff development training = 6 hours per year. Must be reliable and honest with a demonstrated interest in assisting people with disabilities. Good problem-solving skills, a capacity for compassion, common sense and self-discipline is required. One year of related experience
