School RN Opportunity Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by bringing your nursing expertise to a dynamic educational setting. As a School RN in a supportive atmosphere just outside Claremont, you'll collaborate with educators and families to create a healthy, safe environment for learning. This contract role offers weekday hours from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, aligning beautifully with school life and leaving your afternoons free. The position runs through mid-June 2027, with the exciting potential to continue into future school years.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active, unrestricted RN license in New Hampshire
- Previous experience supporting child or adolescent health (school nursing highly valued)
- Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of best practices in medication administration and emergency care
- Ability to manage a variety of health concerns with calm, confident decision-making
- Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and clear communication with students, staff, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key health resource for students and staff throughout the school day
- Administer medications, monitor chronic conditions (such as diabetes or asthma), and provide first aid as needed
- Maintain detailed, accurate health records in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Partner with teachers and administration to ensure all students' health and safety needs are addressed
- Promote wellness, prevention, and healthy habits throughout the school community
- Respond effectively to health-related emergencies and coordinate care as necessary
