Salesforce Administrator
Department: Administration
Reports To: Lead Systems Developer
Location: Hybrid (1 day onsite per week in New York City)
Position Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to join a mission-driven organization during a major Salesforce transformation and play a key role in shaping how staff leverage data to better serve their communities. The Salesforce Administrator will support the implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and day-to-day operation of the organization's Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud environment and related data systems. Working closely with technical leadership, program stakeholders, and end users, this individual will help build long-term internal Salesforce capabilities while ensuring strong system adoption, data quality, and reporting effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
  • System Administration & Configuration
  • Support Salesforce configuration, enhancements, and ongoing system maintenance
  • Build and maintain Flows, validation rules, page layouts, permission sets, and related functionality
  • Assist with testing and deployment of new platform features
  • Support sandbox management and release processes
  • Maintain strong security practices and data governance standards
  • User Support & Training
  • Provide day-to-day Salesforce support to internal users
  • Troubleshoot technical and functional system issues
  • Deliver onboarding and training for new users
  • Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and system documentation
  • Promote Salesforce best practices and user adoption
  • Data Quality & Management
  • Monitor and improve overall data quality and integrity
  • Support data imports, exports, migrations, and routine maintenance activities
  • Implement data validation and deduplication processes
  • Encourage consistent data entry standards across departments
  • Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards
  • Support business reporting and performance measurement initiatives
  • Assist with internal and external data requests
  • Help translate business needs into actionable reporting solutions
  • Salesforce Implementation & Business Support
  • Partner with external Salesforce consultants and implementation teams
  • Support system rollouts, testing efforts, and user acceptance activities
  • Assist with migration from legacy platforms
  • Support change management initiatives and adoption strategies
  • Help communicate system updates and enhancements to stakeholders
Qualifications: RequiredBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience 2+ years of Salesforce Administration experience Strong understanding of core Salesforce administration functions Experience with:
  • Flow Builder (Screen Flows, Record-Triggered Flows, Scheduled Flows)
  • User management, profiles, permission sets, and security controls
  • Custom objects, fields, record types, and page layouts
  • Reports, dashboards, formula fields, and dashboard filters
  • Data imports and exports using Data Loader and related tools
  • Data quality management, validation rules, and deduplication processes
  • Strong Excel and data management skills
  • Experience supporting and training end users
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • PreferredSalesforce Administrator Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) or Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
  • Experience supporting nonprofit organizations
  • Experience with change management and user adoption initiatives
  • Experience working with sensitive or highly regulated data
