Municipal Counsel & Collaborative City Leader

City of Columbia seeks a skilled City Counselor to provide proactive, plain-spoken legal counsel to the City Council and City Manager. This role guides governance, policy, litigation strategy, and public-facing legal advice in a dynamic municipality. Ideal candidates hold a JD, 9+ years in local government law, and active Missouri Bar membership. A valid driver’s license is required, and residency within city limits is preferred but not required.
