Lead Baker

As a Baker Lead at ARAMARK, you will oversee bakery production in a high-volume, guest-focused environment. You’ll prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts while guiding a small team to meet quality, safety, and presentation standards. Responsibilities include training staff, managing production schedules, monitoring inventory, and maintaining strict food safety and sanitation practices. Lead daily baking operations, ensuring high-quality breads, pastries, and desserts that meet Aramark standards Prepare, bake, and finish products according to recipes, portions, and production schedules Train, coach, and support bakers and kitchen staff on baking techniques, safety, and sanitation procedures Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and supplies; assist with ordering and proper storage Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bakery area in compliance with food safety regulations Coordinate with culinary and service teams to support catering, events, and peak service periods Inspect finished products for consistency, presentation, and taste; adjust processes as needed Document production, waste, and temperature logs in line with company and regulatory requirements Commercial baking Pastry and bread production Food safety and sanitation (HACCP) Recipe scaling and formulation Production scheduling Inventory and stock rotation Bakery equipment operation Quality control and plating Team leadership and training Basic computer/POS and documentation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Food Handler or Food Protection Manager certification (e.g., ServSafe) Culinary or baking/pastry certificate or diploma preferred HACCP or equivalent food safety training
