JOB SUMMARY:
Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the educational programs for appropriate nursing unit cluster (Centralized Support Services), including community, orientation, and in-service for professional development. Assists in developing programs to meet the Joint Commission standard requirements for education. Participates in direct nursing care.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum EducationBachelor's Degree in Nursing unless otherwise approved by the DirectorMinimum Work Experience 2 years in hospital clinical settingMed/Surg (Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Ortho, SNF, and Out-Pt Infusion)PCU and Med/TeleCritical Care UnitRequired Licenses/Certifications(Please note American Heart Association Instructor certification identifies the employee as both an Instructor and Provider).Registered NurseCPR CertificationACLSNIHRequired Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesDeal effectively with hospital personnelPossess excellent human relations and oral/written communication skillsMaintain confidential informationBe familiar with policy and proceduresDesignated DriverNoOSHA Category1 - High Risk
