Director of Technology

Role Description: The Director of Technology is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role oversees the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s technology infrastructure, applications, and security posture. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Oversee and drive technology strategy Implement company-wide technology policy Identify technology needs and make recommendations to leadership team that ensure optimal employee and client experience Oversee selection, implementation and integration of all technology efficiently Be very “hands-on” with our systems and understand the business processes in our sector Select and manage vendors to support network, ERP, PLM, Database, Phone, and other related technologies Select and manage vendors for development of custom applications Propose and oversee technology-related budget line items Ensure all employees are appropriately trained on our technology and platforms leading IT teams, managing technology projects and programs, and ensuring systems are stable, secure, and scalable.

Qualifications: Project management experience Experienced with EDI and related technologies Strong foundation in Information Technology, including infrastructure, applications, security, and cloud or hybrid environments. Effective Team Leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, and building high-performing, inclusive IT teams. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Experience overseeing software/app development on multiple platforms Ability to identify projects and develop solutions with minimal supervision Fluency with current technology in the Apparel and Consumer Products industry Experience with and interest in integrating AI technolgies 4 to 6 years’ experience at the Senior Manager or Director level Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) are beneficial. Background in leading technology functions within small to mid-size organizations, preferably in the NYC or broader US market.
