Macdonald & Company is proudly partnered with a leading institutional owner and operator of manufactured housing communities to appoint an Asset Management Analyst or Senior Analyst to its team based in Denver, Colorado. This is an opportunity to join a large, multi-state real estate platform and work across the day-to-day performance of a substantial portfolio. Sitting within the Asset Management team, the successful candidate will work closely with property operations and senior leadership to evaluate performance, identify trends and opportunities, and improve the processes used to make operating and investment decisions. The role combines traditional asset management with financial analysis, giving the successful candidate exposure to property-level operations, budgeting, rent strategy, portfolio planning, acquisitions, capital allocation and investor reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor operating and financial performance across the portfolio, identifying trends, variances and areas requiring further investigation. Partner closely with field and property operations teams to understand the drivers behind asset performance and support initiatives to improve results. Analyze property-level revenue, expenses, rents, occupancy and other operating metrics to understand their impact on NOI and overall asset performance. Support annual budgeting and portfolio planning, including rent analysis, market benchmarking and the evaluation of operating assumptions. Build and maintain financial models and analytical frameworks used to evaluate portfolio decisions and investment opportunities. Help develop and improve asset management processes, reporting protocols and decision-making frameworks across the portfolio. Evaluate market and competitor data to ensure assumptions and benchmarks remain accurate and relevant. Support acquisition underwriting, market analysis, due diligence and other capital allocation decisions. Prepare analysis, reports and presentations for senior leadership, investors and other stakeholders. Work across Asset Management, Finance and Operations on portfolio-wide initiatives and ad hoc analysis.
The Opportunity:
This position offers broad exposure across asset management, operations and real estate finance within a large institutional platform. Rather than operating within a narrowly defined analytical function, you'll have the opportunity to understand how individual assets are performing, work directly with the teams responsible for operating them, and help improve the processes and analysis used to make decisions across the portfolio. The role provides a strong platform for someone looking to build a long-term career in real estate asset management, with scope to progress toward Senior Analyst or Associate level as they take on greater responsibility.
