Overview
As Contingent Workforce Program Manager, you will own the operating model and governance for a vendor-managed contingent workforce at scale within AV Operations. You’ll coordinate across operators, vendors, and internal partners to ensure readiness, compliance, and timely staffing visibility. You’ll lead cross-functional programs that improve processes, reduce friction, and reinforce supplier accountability. This role offers impact by shaping how a distributed workforce enables autonomous-vehicle testing and operations at scale.

Responsibilities Serve as the primary AV Operations point of contact for vendor-managed contingent workforce questions, communications, and issue resolution Translate workforce demand into requisitions, hiring targets, onboarding plans, and operational-readiness actions with AV Operations leaders and vendor partners Coordinate contingent workforce lifecycle activities including onboarding readiness, training, work-order changes, extensions, transfers, and offboarding Maintain effective communications with contingent workers, vendor partners, and AV Operations stakeholders Triage and track workforce escalations (attendance, timekeeping, onboarding, training, access, policy questions, safety impacts, assignments) with clear ownership and timely closure Monitor staffing progress, service performance, open actions, and corrective actions with vendor program leadership Develop trackers, dashboards, and routines providing leadership with headcount, onboarding status, training readiness, workforce risks, timekeeping, escalations, and vendor performance Guide AV Operations managers on contingent workforce processes and escalation paths, including employer-relations matters Collaborate with HR, Environment, Health and Safety, Legal, IT, Finance, Procurement, Security, Learning, and other partners to improve readiness, compliance, and continuity Identify and implement process improvements to reduce friction, improve supplier accountability, and support cost discipline Build a scalable, disciplined approach to vendor-managed contingent workforce support to enable predictable readiness as the organization grows
Key requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, human resources, supply chain, engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in program management, operations, workforce management, vendor management, HR operations, or related field Proven success leading complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and measurable outcomes Experience supporting a contingent or vendor-managed workforce Ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured processes with clear ownership and actionable steps Strong analytical skills with experience in metrics, trackers, and dashboards Excellent written and verbal communication with frontline teams, vendors, and senior leaders Sound judgment, discretion, initiative, and follow-through in a fast-paced environmentstrong communicationanalytical thinkingleadership without authoritydata fluencytrackers and dashboardsexperience with timekeeping and vendor management systems
