Job Overview:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist, under the direction of the nuclear medicine supervisor and/or radiologist, the nuclear medicine technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans. Participates in and exhibits good Medical Center and Radiology guest relations.$12,000 sign-on bonus (external employees only)
Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology programNJ State license Registered by the A.R.R.T. or the N.M.T.C.B., or Registry eligible Maintain requiredBLS through the American Heart Association Successful completion of site personnel general orientation and department specific orientation Successful completion of IV training class. Successful completion of radiation safety, survey and decontamination orientation/training by
RSScheduling Requirements: Day Shift Part-Time 20 hours per week
Essential Functions:
Check, measure and record radiopharmaceuticals prior to administering to patients Performs quality controls on equipment and radiopharmaceuticals Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients intravenously, orally or by inhalation Performs imaging procedures Maintains reliable records under the guidelines of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Performs other duties as required by the department
