Valparaiso University is hiring: Assistant Athletic Trainer in Valparaiso

This position will serve as the athletic trainer for assigned teams and will work as part of the Sports Medicine team to facilitate the care of student-athletes. Major ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include evaluation of illnesses, injuries, and course of action. Assist in coordinating appropriate medical personnel coverage and travel with assigned teams for away competition. Serve as a liaison for the medical care and well-being between student-athletes, coaches, physicians, healthcare providers and sports medicine staff. Update and maintain accurate medical records for individual student-athletes including medical history, physical exam forms, daily injury reports and progress notes. Responsible for operating and implementing preseason physicals. Required Knowledge and SkillsMaster's Degree 1-2 Years of Experience in Collegiate Athletics preferred Other QualificationsBOC certified, Indiana License or ability to obtain, CPR/First aide certified All offers of employment with Valparaiso University are contingent upon the clear results of a thorough background check.
