Senior Payroll Coordinator

Key Responsibilities: Process and support payroll for approximately 6,500 employees across multiple states. Process complex payroll transactions including bonuses, commissions, equity, salary changes, and deductions. Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted resource for payroll-related questions and complex payroll issues. Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Manage and troubleshoot multi-state payroll tax matters across approximately 100+ tax IDs. Partner with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and maintain payroll data integrity. Utilize advanced Excel skills for payroll reporting, audits, reconciliations, and analysis. Support payroll process improvements and ensure compliance with changing payroll laws and regulations. Ensure payroll compliance with all applicable labor laws and tax requirements. Assist in preparing payroll reports and responding to audits and internal reviews. Support documentation of payroll policies and standard operating procedures.

What We’re Looking For: 5+ years of high-volume, multi-state payroll experience. Experience processing payroll for at least 1,500 employees in a multi-state environment. Strong payroll tax knowledge, including multi-state payroll tax compliance. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements. Working knowledge of payroll laws and compliance best practices. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
