AI Engineer

Position Overview: Catalyte is seeking Artificial Intelligence Engineers. IT experience preferred, but not required. What does an Artificial Intelligent Engineer do? An Artificial Intelligent Engineer is a professional responsible for supporting the development, deployment, and integration of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and emerging digital technologies. They design, develop, and evaluate advanced agentic AI solutions and autonomous systems, creating and deploying agents that utilize tool use and sophisticated planning while maintaining secure system deployment, cybersecurity-by-design, and DevSecOps principles.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design, development, and integration of AI systems into enterprise mission platforms, ensuring interoperability, data integrity, and performance across cloud and legacy infrastructures. Support cross‐functional teams in large‐scale digital transformation, data platforms, and secure computing infrastructure projects. Apply AI engineering methodologies to evaluate and deploy AI models securely, utilizing cloud‐native computing and secure systems architecture. Collaborate on the ethical, secure, and trustworthy use of AI and emerging technologies while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and mandates.

Qualifications: At least 18 years old. Basic proficiency using a computer and the internet. U.S. citizen. Available to work full‐time (approximately 9 am–5 pm, Monday–Friday).Available to work onsite in the Washington, DC area.
