Earned Media & Public Relations Assistant The Earned Media & Public Relations Assistant will support EEV's communications and outreach efforts by helping develop and execute earned media strategies that increase visibility and engagement. This position is ideal for a student interested in public relations, journalism, marketing, or communications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing earned media strategies to promote EEV programs, initiatives, and events
- Research media outlets, journalists, producers, and influencers to identify outreach opportunities
- Draft press releases, media advisories, pitches, and other public relations materials
- Coordinate and schedule radio, television, podcast, and media interview appearances for EEV leadership and subject matter experts
- Maintain media contact databases and track media coverage
- Monitor news and industry trends to identify timely media opportunities
- Support event publicity, media relations, and related communications projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Current student pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Familiarity with media relations, social media, or content creation
- Salary Range$15.00 per hour
Working Conditions:
Work to be performed in typical office environment15-19 hours per week
