About the role
AdventHealth Medical Group Critical Care at Central Florida is seeking board-certified critical care physicians with anesthesia, internal medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine backgrounds to join their expanding critical care team. This position focuses on the innovative Extracorporeal Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (ECPR) Program and resuscitation response system at the AdventHealth Orlando campus. Providers will engage in a flexible shift model and work within one of the busiest cardiac and thoracic surgery hospitals in the country. Responsibilities:
- VV and VA cannulationECMO Management
- Critical care management and general critical care responsibilities
- Provide PRN coverage for the ECPR program in our state-of-the-art facilities
- Collaborate with emergency medicine, intensivists, cardiology specialists, and county emergency management to deliver high-quality care during ECPR interventions
- Perform patient evaluations and deliver direct medical care following established ECPR protocols

Qualifications:
- Current board certification in Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, or related specialties
- Fellowship training in Critical Care required
- Active, unrestricted Florida medical license
- Proficiency in ECMO and cannulation (VV and VA), with the ability to provide a log of such expertise and independently perform these proceduresELSO or equivalent ECMO management certification preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a high-performing team
- Physicians must be board certified in the subspecialty of Critical Care Medicine
