Our client in the Wellness and Fitness space is hiring an Performance Marketing Lead! We're looking for a Performance Marketing Lead to help us build a multi-hundred unit national brand. This is our first full-time hire dedicated to performance marketing — a hands-on, execution-obsessed individual contributor who will own paid across Meta, Google, and influencer/whitelisting. You'll work directly with the founder alongside our retail marketing manager and data lead, with an existing agency in place for support. This is a ground-floor role at a company moving fast, with a lot of growth opportunities.
What You'll Do:
Own and operate paid media end-to-end across Meta and Google — building, launching, testing, and iterating on campaigns across all active markets. Drive the creative engine. This is the heart of the role. Develop a high volume of hooks, concepts, scripts, and static ad assets, and build a sustainable, repeatable process for creative ideation and testing. You have taste and aren't afraid to get into the design tools yourself. Lead whitelisting and influencer-driven paid. Whitelisted content can represent the majority of impression share in a high-performing Meta account, and it will be a core lever here. You'll own campaign structure and script/brief development, partnering with our retail marketing team member who already handles creator sourcing and outreach on Instagram and TikTok. Work with (and evaluate) our existing agency. We have an agency in place on a month-to-month basis for support. You'll collaborate with them day one, and over time inform how the function should be built — whether that's continuing with agency support, bringing more in-house, or adding a dedicated designer. Study the competitive landscape obsessively — know what's working across DTC, wellness, and consumer brands and bring those learnings in-house. Iterate against strong data. Our tracking and analytics infrastructure is already robust. Your job is to use it — reading ROAS, CAC, LTV, and contribution margin signals to know when to push and when to pull back. Earn the roadmap. The first 90 days are about execution: jumping in, shipping high-performing creative, and standing up the creative process. As you deliver, you'll develop and own the point of view on channel mix, org design, and growth strategy. Who You Are3–6 years of performance marketing experience in-house at a fast-paced DTC or CPG brand. You've lived inside a large, high-volume ad account and know what "thousands of ads in the account" actually feels like. Brand-side experience strongly preferred over agency-side. Proven track record on paid social (Meta required) and paid search, with hands-on influencer/whitelisting experience as a must. A builder, not a delegator. Scrappy and hands-on — you're not here to manage agency decks. You want to be the first full-time person on a function and shape it from scratch. Excellent creative instincts. You can identify what makes an ad work aesthetically and directionally, you have strong opinions about it, and you can turn those opinions into scripts, briefs, and assets fast. Hungry for a step up. You may be an early or mid-level marketer at a breakout brand who's ready for real ownership, autonomy, and a bigger seat than your current org can offer. Excited about building something, with aspirations to grow into a VP or CMO seat as the company scales.
