$25,000 Signing Bonus plus Relocation Assistance
Kansas City University College of Dental Medicine seeks aprosthodontist as full-time, clinical faculty for our dental schoolin Joplin, Missouri. The faculty member will be responsible for thedidactic, pre-clinical and clinical prosthodontic protocols andprocedures, integrating evidence-based best practices with clinicalpatient care as well as guiding current research and scholarlyactivity in prosthodontic therapy. The prosthodontic faculty memberwill collaborate with, and educate the dental Group Practice Leaders, Assistant Group Practice Leaders, simulation faculty, andclinical faculty in the current science of prosthodontics forpatient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidates must demonstrate a passion for dentistry and theapplication of prosthodontic therapy didactic principles topreclinical and clinical patient care, a strong desire to teachstudents in a demanding, fast-paced, academicenvironment
Develop goals, objectives and policies for the prosthodonticdental education program within the KCU College of Dental Medicine
Implement and deliver the prosthodontic didactic curriculumincluding pre-clinical materials, simulation and laboratoryexercises
Integrate evidence-based best practices with clinical patientcare and guide current research and scholarly activity inprosthodontic therapy
Assure the safe and effective delivery of prosthodontic dentalcare by the dental students
Deliver clinical prosthodontic treatment for patients as neededin the Oral Health Center
Serve as an advisor, coach and/or mentor to dental studentsexpressing a desire for advanced education inprosthodontics
Mentor dental student research in the area of prosthodonticswhen applicable
Serve as faculty advisor for community-based activities in therealm of prosthodontics
Conduct summative and formative pre-clinical and clinicalstudent assessment in prosthodontic therapy
Perform other duties as assigned by supervising faculty or Dean
Qualifications:
D.D.S./D.M.D. degree
Certificate of completion of a CODA accredited Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics
Current Missouri dental license or have an active dentallicense in a US state or Canada and be eligible for licensure in Missouri
Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Prosthodontics
