About the role

The Investigator conducts complex investigations into allegations of fraud, waste, and abuse involving the MTA and its affiliates, contractors, and employees. The role involves interviews, surveillances, subpoena service, data analysis, and testimony in administrative proceedings, working with prosecutorial agencies as needed.
Key qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience conducting investigations into financial fraud, white-collar crime, cyber-crimes, or related investigative work Bachelor's degree from accredited institution in criminal justice, public administration, law, accounting, computer science, or related field Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, applicable statutes, and investigative/interviewing techniques Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and familiarity with data analytics software Valid New York State Driver's license required; two-year commitment upon hire
