Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality inpatient care across diverse hospital settings. In this role, you will assess and monitor adult patients, administer medications and IV therapies, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support treatment and discharge plans. You’ll adapt to new environments quickly, follow facility protocols, and document care accurately in EMR systems. Provide direct patient care to adult med-surg patients following physician orders and care plans Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to support discharge planning Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and post-discharge care Adapt quickly to new hospital environments, policies, and electronic medical record systems Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards in all patient care activities Document care thoroughly and timely in the facility’s electronic health record system Collaborate with staffing coordinators to manage assignments, schedules, and travel requirements Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong patient advocacy in every placement Medical-surgical nursing Patient assessment IV therapy and infusion management Medication administration and reconciliation Wound care and post-operative management Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Care coordination and discharge planning Infection control and safety protocols Telemetry monitoring (where applicable) Patient and family education Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active, unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s) of assignment BLS certification required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale preferred Minimum 1 year of recent acute care med-surg nursing experience Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed Strong IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment skills Travel nursing experience preferred but not required
