About the role
To provide high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, the full-time remote Production Support Engineer will manage system outages, develop technical solutions, and ensure compliance with security policies while collaborating with users and senior management.
Key responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud systems, including troubleshooting and resolving outages
Document problems and solutions accurately in logging and discrepancy reporting tools, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders
Implement continuous improvement methodologies and maintain compliance with Veterans Affairs standards and security policiesRequired qualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud, including familiarity with S3, Step Functions, and CloudWatch
Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with experience in system administration tasks
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and configuration management
