About Marius Pharmaceuticals Marius Pharmaceuticals is a Raleigh, NC–based specialty pharmaceutical company focused on men's health and testosterone deficiency. Our lead product, KYZATREX® (testosterone undecanoate) CIII capsules, is an FDA-approved oral testosterone replacement therapy for adult males with conditions associated with a deficiency or absence of endogenous testosterone. Marius is a lean, fast-moving team that reaches patients through urology, endocrinology, primary care, men's health and concierge/direct primary care practices, federal health systems, telehealth partners and international partners. Medical and Scientific Affairs is building out its field presence to support this growth with credible, balanced scientific exchange.
Position Summary:
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is Marius's field-based scientific expert in testosterone deficiency and men's health. Based in the Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill area, the MSL builds peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), delivers accurate and fair-balanced scientific information, and brings clinical insights back to the company. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, the incumbent works cross-functionally with the commercial team to identify, develop, and implement Medical Affairs strategies and tactics and monitor results. *Title: Medical Science Liaison *

Key Responsibilities:
Scientific exchange and KOL engagement Plan, establish, identify, map and build long-term peer relationships with KOLs in urology, endocrinology, sexual medicine, primary care and men's health. Develop and execute (in collaboration with Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs and Medical Director) a comprehensive medical strategy (e.g., medical education/communication, publications, congress attendance, study priorities) for Marius Pharmaceuticals. Lead scientific discussions on hypogonadism, testosterone replacement therapy and KYZATREX clinical data, in response to unsolicited requests and within compliance guidelines. Proactively reach out to HCPs, KOLs, health systems and research groups to start and sustain scientific exchange on disease state, unmet needs, emerging data and research partnerships. Plan outreach against a territory and KOL engagement plan, within Medical Affairs policy. Respond to unsolicited requests and engage in meaningful, peer-to-peer scientific exchange of complex medical and scientific information with the urology, endocrinology, sexual medicine, primary care, and men’s health communities. Support advisory boards and virtual KOL engagement programs, including recruiting participants, preparing content and summarizing insights. Medical education and training Deliver medical/scientific presentations to internal and external stakeholders (HCPs, health systems and partner organizations).Help develop and maintain scientific training content, including the MariusIQ training decks, with accurate references. Train internal teams and partners (commercial, telehealth and international partners) on disease state and product science. Health systems and strategic accounts Provide scientific support to federal health systems (VA/VISN and DoD), integrated delivery networks, and concierge and direct primary care groups. Prepare clinical materials and bullets for formulary and P&T discussions, in partnership with market access. Congresses and insights Staff medical booths and scientific sessions at key congresses such as SMSNA, AUA, Endocrine Society and AACE, and hold KOL meetings on site. Capture and report field insights on unmet needs, competitive data and evidence gaps to inform medical strategy. Research and medical information Support investigator-initiated studies, real-world evidence projects and publications. Respond to escalated medical information requests and report adverse events per SOPs. Work in compliance with FDA, OIG, PhRMA Code and company policy, keeping scientific activity separate from promotion. Other Aid with special projects in conjunction with Marketing, Sales, Clinical Affairs, Research and Development, or Regulatory, as directed. Adhere to corporate and healthcare compliance guidance in all activities, including those related to clinical trials, scientific interactions, and responses to unsolicited requests for medical/scientific information. Serve as an ambassador for Marius Pharmaceuticals.
Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in a health science (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO) or equivalent. Candidates with an advanced-practice clinical degree (NP, PA) and strong field medical experience will be considered.2+ years of MSL or equivalent field medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Working knowledge of endocrinology, urology or men's health, and the ability to discuss clinical trial design, statistics and the published literature with confidence. Strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance rules for field medical teams (FDA, OIG, PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act).Excellent presentation skills with both specialist and primary care audiences. Experience in literature review and analysis. Experience in planning and delivering medical training. Lives in the Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill area, or will relocate before starting. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as described below.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with testosterone therapy, hypogonadism or another endocrine or men's health product. Existing relationships with KOLs in urology, endocrinology or sexual medicine, including SMSNA members. Experience with federal health systems (VA/VISN, DoD) or with concierge and direct primary care networks. A track record of building training programs or large scientific slide decks with complete references. Ability to lead, direct, influence, and empower multi-disciplinary teams and individuals. Ability to successfully interface with senior management (within and external to company).Experience running advisory boards or virtual KOL programs. Startup or small-company experience: comfortable building processes from scratch with limited support. Board-certified Medical Affairs Specialist (BCMAS) or a similar credential. Ability to tailor messages to different audiences while presenting complex material in a clear and consistent manner. Ability to prioritize work. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to think strategically. Ability to develop and maintain deep relationships with thought leaders and healthcare professionals. Ability to analyze/summarize data and trends for strategic imperatives. Excellent project management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office/Teams including Word, Excel, Power Point and Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM), specifically Salesforce. Proficient in the use of artificial intelligence tools.
