About the role

Responsibilities: Configure, install, and monitor various network devices and services e.g., routers (including WiFi), switches, appliances, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, etc.- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning- Knowledge of Unix/Linux based operating systems- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team- Maintain current network capabilities- Establish networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards- Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization- Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access- Accomplish information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed- Report network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects- Responsible to author SOPs as directed- Responsible to fully document assigned tickets to show all work performed in order to pass SLRs- Responsible to maintain accurate CMDB entries for assigned tickets or tasks
Qualifications: US Citizenship required- Advanced communication skills and ability to work independently with little supervision- Experience supporting mobile and WiFi technology - Contributes to the organization, processes, teams and product in a significant manner- Adheres to organizational processes and procedures- Exhibits initiative to complete tasks in a timely manner- Displays leadership qualities, takes ownership of assigned responsibilities- Completes special projects or other duties as assigned- Contributes positively to working environment- Typically requires BS degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience.
Education: Substitution: For each year of degree required, 2 years of experience may be substituted.
Preferred Qualifications: CCNA/CCNP Certification- VMware Certification
