Senior/Lead/Principal Software Engineer, Agentforce Operations

Overview In this role you will drive the backend foundations for Agentforce for Supply Chain, tackling hard, cross-cutting system problems at enterprise scale. You will collaborate with the Super Agent and Integration & Platform teams to decompose architectures, harden state management, and build observable, reliable data integrations. You’ll shape technical direction, implement scalable pipelines, and contribute to AI-powered development workflows. Compensation / Benefitstime off programsmedical, dental, visionmental health supportpaid parental leave 401(k)employee stock purchase program Responsibilities Own cross-cutting backend problems and architectural decomposition Design and implement scalable data integrations with Salesforce ecosystem (Mulesoft, Flow)Lead data export pipelines and ETL/ELT processes with Data Cloud and Informatica Develop simplified, high-performance APIs and webhooks Mentor engineers and raise the engineering quality bar Collaborate with Product Management and other teams to meet business needs Contribute to production-grade software with AI-centric development workflows Architect and operate complex systems where AI agents integrate into human workflows Drive observability, health risk assessment, and decision frameworks to support scale Define and maintain system context and standards for reliable AI outputs Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure security, performance, and scalability Key requirements 3+ years (Senior) / 5+ years (Lead) / 8+ years (Principal) as backend engineer Related technical degree Deep expertise in data modeling, DB tuning, state management, API design, concurrency, fault tolerance, and scaling Proven experience building production-grade data pipelines (ETL/ELT)Expertise in at least one modern language (Java, Python, Go)Experience designing robust REST APIs and Webhooks Strong knowledge of distributed systems, HA architectures, event queues, async processing Lead technical role experience driving complex projects as an individual contributor Excellent communication for real-time design discussionsAI-first approach to engineering and experience using AI tools in development workflows Advanced prompt engineering for reliable AI outputs Familiarity with Salesforce integration technologies is a plusleadershipstrong communicationcross-functional collaboration Java Python Go
