Medical Assistant Bilingual

Key Responsibilities: Administer allergy shots (immunotherapy) and injections as directed by healthcare providersConduct allergy testing (skin testing, patch testing, etc) and pulmonary function tests (PFTs) Record and document patient medical history and vital signs accurately in the electronic medical records system (EMR) Assist physicians and nurses during patient exams and proceduresEducate patients on allergy testing, treatment plans, and proper medication usageManage appointment scheduling, patient intake, and phone triageHandle front desk administrative tasks such as check-in, check-out, and insurance verificationCoordinate patient referrals, authorizations, and prescription refillsMaintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical suppliesPerform other administrative and clinical tasks as needed to ensure smooth clinic operationsQualifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferredBilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferredPrior experience in an allergy or asthma clinic is a plusKnowledge of allergy testing, pulmonary function testing, and immunotherapy is preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systemsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
