The Service Tech 4 – HVAC performs maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position is responsible for troubleshooting complex HVAC issues, guiding junior technicians, and ensuring systems are running efficiently.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
  • Providing service to the customer base by repairing and overhauling equipmentProviding repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipmentProviding preventative maintenance activities for customers
  • Providing department support by processing job tickets and work orders
  • Providing necessary training to new or less qualified technicians
  • Maintaining proper truck inventory and driving company vehicle safely
  • Embodying the CoolSys CARES culture
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
  • High school diploma or GED, equivalent work experience, and trade or technical school classes
  • Passed Tech Skills level 4 with an 80% or better
  • Valid EPA certificate 3-5 years' experience in construction HVAC, refrigeration, or a related industry
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical control systems
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of refrigeration equipment and piping of refrigeration equipment
  • Knowledge of computer-controlled systems
  • Ability to read and understand refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing blueprints
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Good communication and presentation skills and excellent customer service
  • Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
