About the role

Acoustical Engineer The responsibility of the Acoustical Engineer includes developing innovative acoustic design solutions for personal computer systems. This involves all acoustic-related design and sustaining activities, including cross-functional or OEM interaction necessary to deliver products into production. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to use state-of-the-art acoustic analysis tools to create, test, and validate computer systems and components. A close working relationship with Thermal, Electrical, Mechanical, Power, and other development groups is also required to meet critical project objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities: • Managing early involvement with product concept creations, including acoustic, mechanical, and thermal development and detail design.• Developing and executing system and component-level testing on prototypes throughout the development process.• Developing and implementing customer-focused acoustic specifications for computer systems and components.
Qualifications: • Must possess a Secret clearance.• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.• Minimum three (3) years of experience in schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout.• Experience with hardware testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).• Six (6) or more years of experience working with DMEA-accredited fabrication houses.• Four (4) years of documented, specialized engineering experience in thermal management, signal integrity, and undersea sensor systems.
