Description: American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting, requiring 2-3 years of adult SNF/IRF/Acute experience. Details Inpatient rehabilitation hospital with 50 beds Patient population includes adults with neurological, spinal cord, brain injury, stroke, amputation, orthopedic, and wound care needsPT/OT staff oversee approximately 9 patients each Specialized equipment includes In-motion, Synaptic, EKSO, and VREHR systems used include UDS and CernerMonday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMRequires one weekend shift per month (Saturday or Sunday) May require floating to a nearby location approximately 15 minutes away due to census needs
Requirements:
  • Current OT license required if applicable 2-3 years of experience required
  • Experience in adult SNF, IRF, or Acute care settings requiredAHA certifications required
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information:
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team including physicians, dietitians, nurses, and therapy staff across specialties such as respiratory therapy and wound care
  • Report on patient progress during team conferences
  • Maroon scrubs requiredOT staff typically report at 7am ahead of an 8am shift start
  • Permanent address cannot be within 60 miles of the facility
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
