Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Sign-On Bonus: $2,000, less applicable taxes. (Payable after 90 days of employment)

Location: nVent, 2010 42nd Avenue West, Suite 100, Alexandria, MN 56308nVent, located in Alexandria, MN, is adding a Maintenance Technician to our team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position significantly contributes to manufacturing operations through responsive and effective improvements and repairs to manufacturing equipment. What You Will Experience In This Position: In this position, you will get to: Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all molding, stamping, assembly, packaging and auxiliary machines Perform preventative and autonomous maintenance on equipment Make improvements and updates to existing equipment Initiate and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement projects Effectively use Mapcon to document all work performed on equipment Participate in design review activities for new and existing equipment Maintain spare parts inventory Maintain a clean and organized work area Perform other duties as assigned You Have: Ability to troubleshoot and repair production machinery; which includes electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment Capable for reading and interpreting electrical schematic PLC programs and mechanical blueprints Ability to operate various shop equipment and hand tools to perform repairs Knowledge of world-class manufacturing practices General knowledge of Injection molding machines operation and processes General knowledge of machine controls Strong organizational skills Working knowledge of computers as well as Microsoft Office, Mapcon and PLC's3-5 years manufacturing maintenance experience We Have: A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day Commitment to strengthen communities where our employees live and work Core values that shape our culture and drive us to deliver the best for our employees and our customers Benefits to support the lives of our employees Pay Transparency nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range: $20.40 - $37.80 Per Hour
