Payroll Specialist

Key Responsibilities: Process weekly payroll for a large employee population across multiple companies and statesSupport full-cycle payroll processing and ensure payroll is completed accurately and on timeProcess employee changes and payroll-related updatesInvestigate and resolve payroll tax notices, penalties, and questionnaire requestsAssist with federal, state, and local payroll tax deposits and filingsSupport quarterly and annual unemployment tax filingsComplete monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax reconciliationsPerform quarterly W-2 reconciliations and process corrections as neededProcess garnishments, child support orders, tax liens, and other wage attachmentsReview and submit certified payroll through applicable systemsPartner with Finance and IT to improve payroll processes and automation capabilitiesResearch payroll discrepancies and employee questionsMaintain accurate payroll documentation and recordsProvide excellent customer service to employees and internal stakeholdersSupport additional payroll projects and responsibilities as neededQualifications 3+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience requiredIn-house payroll processing experience strongly preferredExperience processing payroll for a large employee population preferred
