Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Overview As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer at Clover, you design and evolve core server platform components to enable scalable fintech solutions. You’ll collaborate with developers to refine the platform, mentor teammates, and drive reliability and velocity through automation. You’ll lead post-incident learning and evaluate new technologies from PoCs to production. This role sits at the intersection of cloud platforms, backend services, and developer enablement in a fast-paced fintech SaaS environment. Compensation / Benefitsannual incentive opportunity with cash bonus and equitygrowth opportunities within a global fintech leader Responsibilities Design and implement core server platform components Collaborate with developers to incorporate feedback and evolve the platform Foster team growth through better processes, practices, and technical guidance Scale systems sustainably via automation and improved reliability Conduct blameless postmortems and drive remediations Evaluate new technology through PoCs and drive to completion Key requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of industry experience Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or C++Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Backend service development experience Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and software design Ability to diagnose issues, debug, and automate tasks Experience with relational databases Collaboration and teamwork Mentorship and technical guidance to peers Strong problem-solving and debugging mindset Docker Kubernetes OpenAPI
