About the role

Role Overview: An Advanced Practitioner is sought to join the Palliative Medicine team, primarily supporting inpatient needs at a medical center.
Key Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients using evidence-based practices. Document thoroughly in electronic medical records, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe appropriate therapies. Adjust or discontinue medications as needed, and communicate with the healthcare team, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care. Perform procedures within the scope of nurse practitioner licensure and act as a patient advocate by providing safe, ethical, and understandable health education. Evaluate medical management and test results, reporting significant findings to collaborating physicians, and adhere to organizational policies and guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a Master's Degree in Nurse Practitioner, with the ability to perform procedures within scope. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and collaboration skills are essential. The role involves working in a clinical environment, fulfilling job-specific obligations, and complying with policies.
