SQE Engineer- Castings

Responsibilities: Resolve casting defects such as porosity, core shift, NCU, and over-grinding issues. Conduct process audits and ensure adherence to foundry control plans and standards.nalyze production, yield, and scrap trends to drive corrective actions. Lead problem-solving activities using 8D, DOE, RCA, and Pareto analysis. Collaborate with machining and foundry teams to address downstream quality concerns. Interpret complex casting/machining drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements. Drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives for process optimization and productivity improvement. Support production ramp-up and stabilization of complex cast components.

Requirements: Strong knowledge of foundry operations, preferably Sand Casting and Iron Casting. Experience in process audits, quality improvement, and manufacturing problem-solving. Expertise in Lean Six Sigma, 8D, DOE, and Root Cause Analysis. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production and yield data. Proficiency in engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English and Spanish.

Preferred Industry Experience: Automotive, Heavy Equipment, Agriculture Equipment, Industrial Machinery, or Complex Casting Manufacturing. External Skills and Expertise: Supplier Quality Engineer Castings.
