Automation Engineer In office: Richmond, Virginia or Minneapolis, MN or Seattle, WA Benefits: Standard Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO Pay Range: $60.00 – $80.00 Job Summary As part of the Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) Engineering, you will work collaboratively with a cross-functional engineering team executing custom project designs, meeting customer expectations, quality, schedule, budget, goals, and ensuring project risks are mitigated. The chosen individual will develop PLC, HMI and SCADA applications for a wide range of water technologies, including developing programs, coordinating with other EI&C engineers, supporting network design, and assisting through commissioning as projects move through execution. The role will also include travel to our various manufacturing locations, vendors and project sites in North America. Key Characteristics Ability to collaborate in and lead cross-functional project team discussions and client meetings. Proven ability to develop and follow procedures and standards, while extrapolating new concepts from established standards. Knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn equipment and processes related to products and systems. Experience with the major brands of automation equipment; Rockwell, Schneider, Emerson, Siemens Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting control systems, network design, VFD's, IPC's and an appetite to learn new software. For applicants located in Canada, Bachelor's degree in Engineering and registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) or confirmed professional licensing eligibility with the provincial's licensing and regulating body for professional engineering.
