Paint Specialist / Supervisor / Asst. Manager The Paint Specialist / Supervisor / Asst. Manager is responsible for operating and monitoring automated robotic painting systems to ensure automotive interior parts meet strict customer requirements for appearance, color, gloss, and adhesion.
Key responsibilities include:
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automated painting robots (Yaskawa highly preferred) and related application systems (spray guns, pumps, nozzles).Perform and optimize robot teaching, including 3D offline teaching and path programming, to ensure consistent paint coverage and film thickness. Monitor critical paint process parameters such as viscosity, temperature, humidity, airflow, booth pressure, flash times, and oven curing conditions. Identify and resolve paint defects including runs, sags, orange peel, dry spray, dirt/contamination, pinholes, and color/gloss variation. Ensure proper preparation, masking, and handling of interior parts before and after painting to prevent damage or contamination.
