Lead Asset Manager

The Role: As Lead Asset Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the operational, contractual, commercial and financial performance of a portfolio of solar assets. You will be the key point of contact for clients and site owners, while leading and supporting a team of Asset Managers and coordinating internal teams and external contractors.

Key responsibilities include: Manage a portfolio of utility-scale solar assets. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and site owners. Lead monthly and quarterly client performance meetings. Oversee operational performance, availability, downtime and KPIs. Coordinate internal teams and external contractors. Identify recurring operational issues and drive corrective actions. Manage O&M contracts, service agreements and contractual obligations. Review contractual risks, breaches and commercial implications. Support contract renewals and change management. Manage and monitor OPEX budgets and operational expenditure. Identify opportunities to improve portfolio performance and profitability. Lead, coach and develop a team of Asset Managers and Solar Analysts. Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Support the onboarding of new solar assets.

About You: We're looking for someone with: Previous experience managing solar assets / solar farms or similar renewable energy technologies. Strong knowledge of solar technology, SCADA and UK HSE legislation. Experience managing O&M contracts and contractual obligations. Strong commercial and analytical skills. Excellent communication and client management skills. Experience leading or mentoring a team. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A relevant engineering, project management or similar degree is desirable, but significant relevant experience will also be considered. A full UK driving licence.
