About the role

Join our client, a high-visibility iconic global beauty brand, in an influential role at the intersection of consumer insight, category strategy, sales analytics, and retail performance. As the Sales, Consumer & Category Insights Manager, you will turn complex data into clear commercial direction, helping teams sharpen brand strategy, unlock retailer opportunities, improve forecasting, and build compelling selling stories. This is an ideal opportunity for an analytical storyteller who wants direct exposure to senior brand and sales leaders and the chance to shape how a well-known portfolio grows across key retail partners. Why This Role This is more than a reporting role. You will have the visibility and autonomy to connect consumer behavior, category performance, retailer execution, and inventory strategy, then turn those insights into decisions that directly influence the brand’s growth. If you enjoy finding the story behind the numbers and want your work to shape both strategy and execution, we’d love to hear from you. What You’ll Own Own sales tracking by retailer, including POS performance, market share, category trends, and SKU-level results, and translate findings into clear actions. Build and maintain retailer scorecards, dashboards, and weeks-of-cover (WOC) overviews to identify risks, opportunities, and performance gaps. Combine retailer-level insights into an integrated view that strengthens forecasting, demand planning, and commercial decision-making. Analyze market dynamics through the 4 Ps—pricing, promotion, product, and distribution—to uncover performance drivers and growth opportunities. Lead analysis and strategic execution related to excess and obsolete inventory, partnering across functions to reduce exposure and improve inventory health. Use Nielsen, Circana/IRI, retailer data, and consumer research to identify share shifts, whitespace opportunities, competitive activity, and emerging category trends. Shape assortment strategy, SKU rationalization, space-to-sales recommendations, category reviews, and retailer line-review narratives. Develop data-backed selling stories and executive-ready recommendations that help brand and sales teams win retailer support and distribution. Guide consumer research across concept, product, packaging, brand health, awareness and usage, and segmentation to inform innovation and marketing strategy. Serve as a trusted analytical partner to senior brand and sales leaders, bringing together multiple data sources into a focused commercial point of view.
What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in consumer insights, category management, syndicated research, commercial analytics, or a related field. Hands-on expertise with Nielsen, Circana/IRI, or comparable syndicated data platforms; experience within beauty, personal care, consumer products, or retail is strongly preferred. Strong command of POS, market share, retail inventory, forecasting, and category performance analysis. Experience with qualitative and quantitative research, including concept, product, package, brand tracking, awareness and usage, and segmentation studies. Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to connect multiple data sources and turn analysis into practical, persuasive recommendations. A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with the flexibility to adapt quickly, build from the ground up, and influence cross-functional stakeholders. Strategic curiosity, creativity, and strong attention to detail.
