Pipefitter Helper

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Pipe Fitters with installation, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of piping systems. Gather, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment required for daily activities. Measure, cut, bevel, clean, and prepare pipe and fittings for installation. Assist with alignment, fitting, bolting, and securing piping components. Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean and safe work area. Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies. Follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions under supervision. Assist with hydro-testing, flushing, and commissioning activities. Support rigging and material handling operations when qualified. Comply with company safety policies, procedures, and permit requirements. Attend safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous construction, industrial, mechanical, or pipefitting experience preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Ability to read measuring devices such as tape measures. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn the pipefitting trade. Required Skills and

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods. Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions when required. Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and fall protection.
