Drivers will be responsible for operating Freightliner day cabs with 53-foot refrigerated trailers while delivering freight to grocery store locations throughout the state of Illinois. This position involves touch freight, requiring drivers to load and unload trailers using an electric pallet jack. Pay & Schedule Details Pay Rate: $38.46 per hour Estimated Weekly: $1,700 Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Friday, and Saturday Work Hours: 10:00 PM – 10:00 AM Average Route Time: 8–10 hours per day Average Stops: 1–2 stops per route Job Details Route Type: Local Freight Type: Refrigerated grocery freight Equipment: Freightliner day cab tractors 53-foot refrigerated trailers Automatic transmission Electric pallet jack EZPass provided On-site fueling available Handling: Touch freight, loading and unloading with electric pallet jack Key Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer. Deliver refrigerated freight to grocery store locations throughout Illinois. Complete dock deliveries at grocery store facilities. Load and unload trailers using an electric pallet jack. Ensure freight is handled safely and delivered on time. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Follow all DOT, FMCSA, Penske, and customer safety requirements. Maintain a clean, professional appearance while representing our client.
