SDET (Backend/API Automation – Java, Rest Assured – Level II / III)
Location: Remote (Preferred: Washington, DC / New York, NY)FTE only
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong expertise in backend/API automation testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java, Rest Assured, and building scalable test automation frameworks for microservices-based applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks using Java and Rest Assured
- Automate test cases for RESTful services and backend systems
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment
- Validate data across services, databases, and APIsIntegrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)Perform test execution, debugging, and root cause analysis
- Ensure high test coverage and quality across releases
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years (Level II) / 9+ years (Level III) in QA Automation / SDET roles
- Strong programming skills in JavaHands-on experience with Rest Assured for API automation
- Experience testing RESTful APIs & microservices architecture
- Knowledge of TestNG / JUnit, Maven/Gradle
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc)
