Vehicle Operator Shift Supervisor Rate - $41/hour
Responsibilities:
As a Shift Supervisor, you will: Promote a safe, inclusive, and open work environment. Support Vehicle Operators (VOs) with their daily work and make sure procedures and safety standards are followed. Help with team scheduling, coordination, and administrative tasks. Give team members regular written and verbal feedback on their performance. Become an expert in vehicle operations software and systems. Coach, motivate, and mentor team members to meet safety and performance goals. Work with contractors to make sure they understand their responsibilities and complete their assigned work correctly. Support vehicle operations and testing in different roles, both inside and outside of vehicles. Be a player-coach by working alongside the team and leading by example. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Day-to-Day:
As a Shift Supervisor, you will: Supervise a team of Vehicle Operators and make sure they understand and meet daily and long-term goals. Work directly alongside your team each day and lead by example. Make sure vehicle operators properly complete software and hardware tests according to standards. Work closely with other Fleet Operations leaders to keep vehicle operations safe and efficient. Help solve problems and address issues that come up during a shift. Communicate updates, expectations, and technical information to your team and leadership. Help ensure the fleet and team are ready to safely complete assigned missions. Step in and perform operational tasks when needed rather than only supervising from the sidelines.
Qualifications:
12+ months of autonomous vehicle operator experience preferred Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality Proven ability to problem solve and improve operational efficiency Proactive mindset and resourcefulness Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues Excellent driving history Proactive mindset and resourcefulness
