About the role

Job Description: Curtze Food Service in Erie, PA, is seeking to hire a second-shift full-time meat packer. We operate a protein facility known as Specialty Steak Service. The full-time meat packer will efficiently package all meat products according to company standards in our USDA-inspected facility. * This position requires bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above, reaching across, using repetitive motion, heavy lifting, and the ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours daily. The Packer Trimmer will be exposed routinely to adverse temperatures from cold 20-40°ree; F, damp/wet, to freezing temperatures. In addition, this position requires the use of sharp cutting tools. * Our ideal candidate will have relatable work experience and withstand a cool and freezing work environment.

Wage: $20.10

Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 3:30 P.M. – 12:00 A.M. On-The-Job Training....no previous experience necessary.

Responsibilities: Conform to all relevant USDA standards as they apply to the position Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety Package meat and meat products according to company standards Control the quality of products to conform to company standards Maintain proper sanitary conditions, including cleaning and sanitizing all work surfaces, utensils, and equipment Perform daily inspection checks of machinery, following all appropriate safety procedures Perform other assigned duties as allocated by management
