Wellfield Technician
Location: Milwaukee Wisconsin - Onsite Position
About the Role: Our client is a growing renewable energy company seeking a Wellfield Technician to support landfill gas collection operations across two sites. This is a hands-on, outdoor role responsible for monitoring and maintaining gas extraction wells, troubleshooting wellfield equipment, and helping ensure the gas collection system operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site requirements.
Responsibilities: Perform routine monitoring of landfill gas extraction wells using handheld monitoring equipment and accurately document wellfield data. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pneumatic pumps, wellheads, piping, valves, and other wellfield equipment. Conduct wellfield tuning to support gas collection performance, system balance, and compliance requirements. Troubleshoot operational issues including pump problems, low gas flow, vacuum concerns, liquid buildup, leaks, and damaged components. Communicate site conditions, equipment issues, and follow-up maintenance needs to the broader operations team. Follow all safety procedures, landfill site requirements, and environmental compliance practices.
Qualifications: Hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience. Experience with pumps, mechanical equipment, maintenance, construction, environmental field work, or similar outdoor industrial work. Landfill gas, biogas, wastewater, oil & gas, or related field experience is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
