Job Description:
Billy’s Marketplace is looking for a reliable and motivated Baker to join our team. This position does not require extensive professional baking experience. Our bakery primarily works with par-baked and ready-to-bake breads, rolls, pastries, and other supermarket bakery items. We are looking for someone with some bakery, kitchen, or food-service experience who is comfortable learning our procedures and maintaining consistent quality.
Responsibilities:
● Bake and finish par-baked breads, rolls, pastries, and other bakery products● Follow proper baking times, temperatures, and preparation instructions● Prepare products for the sales floor and keep displays stocked and fresh● Package and label bakery products as needed● Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery work area● Follow food-safety and store procedures● Monitor product quality and freshness
Qualifications:
● Some previous bakery, kitchen, supermarket, or food-service experience preferred● Professional baker or pastry-chef experience is not required● Reliable and punctual● Able to work independently and stay organized● Comfortable working with commercial ovens and bakery equipment● Able to stand for extended periods and perform normal lifting associated with bakery work● Availability for early-morning and weekend shifts as needed
