Qualifications:
A. High School Diploma or GED required. B. Work experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities/OPWDD with children or adults preferred. C. Sensitivity to the needs of the individual. D. Genuine interest in teaching, and willingness to motivate individuals to learn. E. Own vehicle (will use company vehicle), valid New York State License, current insurance, and liability coverage. F. Strong command of verbal and written communication (English).
Specific Responsibilities:
A. Directly responsible for the specific individual assigned during all assigned work hours. B. Responsible for completing and documenting individual's valued outcomes on a daily and monthly basis, including collecting and graphing behavioral data as appropriate. C. Responsible for assisting the individual with identifying in-home and community integration activities aligned with their preferences and goals and for carrying out these activities with the individual, with the expectation that at least 51% of the time will be spent in the community. D. Ensures that individual is properly accounted for when transitioning to and from various locations. E. Completes documentation for EVV and bi-weekly billing for submission to fiscal department. F. Ensures the safety of assigned individual at all times and is well-versed on individual's IPOP and medical conditions/limitations. G. Communicates any concerns about the individual directly to the IRA Manager and Residential Coordinator. H.
