Sr Cloud Security Engineer

POSITION: AZURE CLOUD SECURITYLOCATION: DALLAS, 75201 (HYBRID 3 DAYS ONSITE)

DURATION: 6 MONTH CONTRACT TO PERMANENTSALARY: 155K – 170K DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCERESPONSIBILITIESEngineer and support cloud security platforms including Wiz, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and related Azure security technologies. Design automation workflows that move security findings from detection through remediation using APIs, scripting, and event-driven architectures. Implement policy-as-code, Infrastructure-as-Code security controls, Azure Policy, and CI/CD security guardrails. Secure Azure identity and network environments including Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM, Azure Firewall, NSGs, and Fortinet solutions. Partner with DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure teams to improve cloud security posture, incident response capabilities, and compliance readiness. REQUIREMENTS7+ years of information security experience with at least 4 years focused on cloud security. Strong Microsoft Azure security experience. Experience with Wiz, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Prisma Cloud, Tenable Cloud Security, or similar CSPM/CNAPP platforms. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM, SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, and federated identity. Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, Azure Policy, and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies. Strong Python and/or PowerShell scripting skills with experience integrating REST APIs and automation workflows. Experience with Azure network security, cloud threat detection, incident response, and security compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST.
