About the role

Licensed Project Engineer A growing structural steel company in Friendswood, TX is hiring a licensed Project Engineer to run their own projects start to finish and stamp calculations and drawings. This is the senior engineer seat on the team, with a junior engineer working toward his PE to mentor.
Position Details: Full-time, in-office Monday-Friday$100K-$130K starting range, negotiable for the right person

What You'll Do:
  • Own structural steel design projects from kickoff through final drawings
  • Prepare, check and stamp calculations and drawings
  • Work on commercial and industrial projects
  • Coordinate with detailing, fabrication and project management
  • Mentor a junior engineer
  • What You BringBS in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Active Texas PE license (required); other state licenses a plus
  • About 10 years of experience focused on structural/steel design (not heavy civil roads, drainage or transportation)
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently
