Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Oncology inthe Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine atthe University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of clinical care andresearch directly related to patients with complex vascularanomalies with an opportunity to play a leadership role in thisprogram. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalentdegree. Board-certified or eligible in pediatrichematology/oncology.
Teaching responsibilities may include didactic and clinicalinstruction of medical students, graduate students, residents, medical fellows in pediatric hematology/oncology or relateddisciplines, and post-doctoral fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and outpatient carefocused on children, adolescents and young adults with complexvascular anomalies at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, andactive involvement in fellowship training. The successful candidatemust be able to collaborate with members of a largeinterdisciplinary team.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include expandingtranslational and clinical research efforts in our Complex Vascular Anomalies Program with a particular interest in candidates with afocus on developing clinical trials testing innovative therapiesfor these disorders. The successful candidate will have anestablished record of peer reviewed scholarship and extramuralfunding.
