A nonprofit organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Manhattan.
About the Opportunity
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Hours: 8am to 8:30pm Setting: Homeless shelters
Responsibilities: Provide on-site nursing care and health screenings for shelter clients Complete intakes, assess medical and psychiatric history, and document findings accurately Administer medications, monitor clients, and check vital signs Support care coordination with providers, social workers, and other team members Maintain EMR documentation, medication records, and clinical supplies
Qualifications: 2-3 years of clinical experience in a psychiatric, mental health, behavioral health, or substance use setting Active New York State Registered Nurse licenseAHA BLS certification Experience with electronic medical record documentation Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff at all levels Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Desired Skills: Experience working with homeless individuals Familiarity with eClinical Works EMRComfort working with a high-acuity behavioral health and substance use population
